Biography

Dr. Eduardo Resendiz is a Veterinarian, he completed a Master's Degree in Veterinary Pathology at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (FMVZ-UNAM) with the topic of Fibropapillomatosis in marine turtles. Dr. Reséndiz received his doctorate from the Autonomous University of Baja California Sur (UABCS) studying the Health, Pathology and forensics of marine turtles in the region. He currently works at the Autonomous University of Baja California Sur, as a research professor of Cellular Biology, Microbiology, Veterinary systemic Pathology, Veterinary Clinical Pathology and Morphophysiology of Marine Organisms. Also, He is responsible for the Veterinary Medical Area of the “Proyecto Salud de Tortugas Marinas” of the UABCS and has been responsible for the Veterinary Medical Area of the Conservation and Repopulation Projects of Species at Risk (PROCER) of the Government Authorities in Baja California Sur (BCS), Mexico (CONANP-UABCS- Alianza Keloni). He is responsible of two projects of marine turles health an diseases in BCS and has worked as a Veterinary on research projects in Central America and Mexico. He currently has more than 25 publications in indexed scientific journals, is reviewer of three scientific journals, and belongs to the national system of researchers in Mexico (SNI).
