Biography

Hassan M. El-Dessouky is an Associate professor in Physics at Mansoura University in Egypt. Now, he is a Research Fellow at CTT (Centre for Technical Textiles) in the University of Leeds. He holds three degrees (BSc, MSc and PhD) in Physics and is a referee in various journals; such as Journal of Applied Polymer Science, The Journal of the Textiles Institute, Optics & Laser Technology, and Polymer Engineering & Science.

Research Interest

He is interested in studying the optical and structural properties of polymeric and fibrous materials. Regarding textile fibres, he is studying the effect of spinning conditions on the melt-spun fibres and he is looking to spin new composite and functional fibres of desirable properties. Now he is working different aspects of nanotechnology and composites based fibres. He always performs his research using the interferometry techniques in between CTT (Prof Car Lawrence) and IRC polymer (Prof Ian Ward). A selection of publications from the past three years is listed below.
