Biography

Presently Dr. MOHD. AKHTAR working as Senior Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacology, School of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (Formerly: Faculty of Pharmacy ranked Ist in NIRF Ranking) Jamia Hamdard (Hamdard University) Mahruali Badarpur Road, Sangam Vihar New Delhi 110 062. He did his B.Pharm, M.Pharm Ph.D (Pharmacology) from Jamia Hamdard. Before joining Hamdard, he worked as clinical Pharmacist in Saudi Arabia for 2 and half years and as lecturer in HNB Garhwal University. Has more than 17 years of teaching and research experience. He supervised more than 37 M. Pharm Pharmacology; Pharmacy Practice and M.D students also supervised 7 Ph.D students. His areas of Research include CNS, CVS, Endocrine, drug-drug interaction studies, Pharmacovigilance studies. He has more than 90 research papers in national and international journals of repute. He also received projects like fast track project for young scientist from DST, AICTE, CCRUM. He received scientist of the year 2008 award from NESA, Recipient of 2nd Academic Brilliance Awards 14 for Excellence in research presented by Education Expo 2014. He has presented papers in so many symposiums, conferences and workshops. He is life member of IPS, APTI, IPGA, IHPA Society of Pharmacovigilance and NESA.
