About City

Singapore is situated on the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula in Southeast Asia, between the Indian Ocean and the South China Sea and it is a main island with 63 surrounding islets. The island has a tropical atmosphere with the rainy season ordinarily occurring from late September to February. The administration language is English and the currency used is Singapore Dollars. And the city has highly developed transportation systems, both into and within the city.

Singapore has been recognized as one of most modern city in the Asia. The city is famous for its melting pot of cultures which mixes Malay, Chinese, Arab, Indian and English cultures and religions. A vigorous food scene, universal entertainment events and a reputation for excellence in banking, the sciences and in addition an ideal harmony between the urban city and nature makes Singapore a perfect travel destination for business and delight.

Singapore's development in the course of recent decades has been remarkable. Visitors will find a wealth of historical treasures from the past, in the excellence of buildings, values and traditions that have survived in the face of profound social and geographical change.

North of the Singapore city has two nature preserves, Bukit Timah and the Central Catchment Area, along with the splendid Singapore Zoological Gardens. The east coast includes great fish restaurants set on long extends of sandy shoreline. In addition there are more than fifty islands and islets within Singaporean waters, all of which can be reached with varying degrees of ease. Day trips are well known to Sentosa, the island amusement arcade which is connected toward the south coast by a short causeway and cable car. Music, theater, nightlife: all are abundant in this wonderful city. Singapore used to be considered as a "stop over" on the way to larger Asian urban communities. This is not any truer! Visitors seek out Singapore not only for business and also for enjoying holidays with the entire family. Singapore is a safe, clean and beautiful place to visit.
