Theme: Advancements in the field of Dental Science

Meetings International invites you all to attend our webinar on “Dental Science” to be scheduled on July 21, 2021 sharp at 3PM. The webinar is on the theme of “Advancements in the field of Dental Science”. The sector of dental science is rapidly evolving to suit patient’s needs. Various dental and oral health organizations across the world are spreading awareness amongst the people to take care of oral hygiene also as, dental education has become mandatory to all within the schools and universities. Earlier, the scientific publications of the advances within the field of dental science within the peer-reviewed journals were only a few but now, there are many. This helps in understanding of the essential concepts within the dental research work which has been administered till date to impart knowledge. A variety of treatments are developed for oral diseases like laser therapy, digital X-Rays, 3D Printing and lot of others.

In this webinar, we have reputed scientists and researchers to participate from different universities and organizations across the world . This is often the most important gathering of the dental group. The webinar covers video presentation by the researchers followed by lecture notes and discussion.

Target Audience

  • Dental Researchers
  • Post Doctoral Researchers
  • Universities Faculties and Students
  • Dental Healthcare professionals
  • Dental Surgeons
  • Dental Radiologist
  • Oral Surgeons

Digital X-Rays in Dentistry

During examination of the patient, Digital X-Rays uses X-Ray sensitive plates to catch hold of data and immediately the image appears on the computer screen. Then the dentist can zoom into the image to have access to a quality image and inform the patients regarding their oral health condition. They have much lesser radiation and are much more faster than traditional X-Rays.

Laser Therapy in Dentistry

Laser therapy  are very important in controlling contamination and dental treatment. The laser is directed directly to the rotten area of the teeth where water molecules present in the rotten area are heated up followed by explosion of the decayed region as a result all the bacteria living in the rotten area are killed. They are generally being used in surgical procedures.

Oral Medicine

Oral Medicine is the branch of dental science that deals with oral health care of the patients which includes diagnosis and treatment of oral diseases that affects the orofacial region. Many systemic diseases have symptoms that resides in the oral and maxillofacial region. The mouth may be affected by gastrointestinal and cutaneous conditions. An oral medicine doctor has received many experiences in the diagnosis and treatment of oral mucosal diseases including oral cancer, taste and smell disorders and salivary gland diseases.

3D Printing in Dentistry

With this invention of new technology of 3D printing, digital software and files obtained during MRI are much more compatible. Dental 3D printing is a method of producing 3D solid dental models similar to that of implants, braces, surgical guides, crowns, denatures for treatment and positioning of jaws. 3D printing uses computerised CAD software that converts the information about the object to a digital file to be stored in order to make a virtual image of the object.

Cone Beam Computed Tomography

Cone Beam Computed Tomography, a type of radiographic imaging allows to create 3D images of teeth at lower radiation and helps to diagnose the dental diseases at an earlier stage. It can help to access the hard dental tissue condition before surgeries. It is far better than that of intra-oral procedures that creates 2D images of teeth so there can be misinterpretation and hence can execute the wrong procedure.
