Session 1: Diabetes research in clinical practice
The global diabetes research market is projected to reach USD 10.58 billion by 2022 from an estimated USD 8.35 billion in 2017, at a CAGR of 4.8% during the forecast period. Individuals with genetic disorder are at increased risk for kidney disease, lower limb amputation and visual defect.

Session 2: Different types of Diabetes
The results of meta-analysis showed that the incidence of type 1 diabetes was 15 per 100,000 people and the prevalence was 9.5% (95% CI: 0.07 to 0.12) in the world, Type 2 is the most common type of diabetes. There are about 29 million people in the U.S. with type 2. 20 million or 16% of live births had some form of hyperglycaemia in pregnancy. An estimated 84% were due to gestational diabetes. LADA and MODY accounts for 2–12% of all patients with adult-onset diabetes.

The global stem cells market size generated revenue of USD 9.38 billion in 2020. It is expected to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.8% from 2021 to 2028.

Session 4: Diabetes management
New diabetes cases have decreased over the last decade except in people younger than 20 years. And in adults, there is much room for improvement in preventing diabetes complications. New cases significantly decreased from 2008 through 2018.

Session 5: Current research 
More people are developing type 1 and type 2 diabetes during youth, and also racial and ethnic minorities continue to develop type 2 diabetes at higher rates. By addressing diabetes, many other health problems can be prevented or delayed.
