Biography

She began her career as a tutor in University Kebangsaan Malaysia, and was subsequently appointed Lecturer, Associate Professor and Professor. While holding the position of Deputy Vice Chancellor, in charge of research and innovation at UKM, she drove many changes including innovation and entrepreneurial activities which encompassed research initiatives across more than 2000 staff, commercialization of research findings and establishing over 30 start-up companies, and for bringing research to the market place. She is also the author of over 100 publications, 80 technical presentations and 4 patents filed in Malaysia, Australia, Thailand and Singapore.
