Session 2 :  Stages of kidney diseases
There are 5 stages of kidney diseases

  1. Stage 1 with normal or high GFR (GFR > 90 mL/min)
  2. Stage 2 Mild CKD (GFR = 60-89 mL/min)
  3. Stage 3A Moderate CKD (GFR = 45-59 mL/min)
  4. Stage 3B Moderate CKD (GFR = 30-44 mL/min)
  5. Stage 4 Severe CKD (GFR = 15-29 mL/min)
  6. Stage 5 End Stage CKD (GFR <15 mL/min)

    Session 3 : Kidney transplantation
A kidney transplant is a surgery to place a healthy kidney from a living or deceased donor into a person whose kidneys no longer function properly. The kidneys are two bean-shaped organs located on each side of the spine just below the rib cage. Each is about the size of a fist.

Session 4 : Technological Advancements in Nephrology
With stem cell research, it will be possible to customise a new kidney based on genetic makeup which will be grown with the help of the tissue of each patient. This could be a huge breakthrough and could possibly contribute dominantly to the cases of polycystic kidney diseases. This is a long shot but for now, only rudimentary stem cells can be replicated. Other than this, the research also indicates that it has new advances in shunt technology. Shunt in a simple manner refers to the hollow tube surgically placed inside the brain or in the spine to help drain excessive cerebrospinal and redirect it to some other place in the body where it can be absorbed.

Session 5 : Cardiovascular Impacts of Kidney Diseases
cardiovascular disease is a frequent complication of renal disease. Chronic kidney disease promotes hypertension and dyslipidemia, which in turn can contribute to the progression of renal failure. Furthermore, diabetic nephropathy is the leading cause of renal failure in developed countries.

Session 6 : Kidney and Bladder Stones
Kidney and bladder stones are hard objects in the urinary tract made up of millions of tiny crystals. Kidney stones, which are much more common than bladder stones, can form when the body's system for filtering urine becomes too concentrated.

    Session 8 : Kidney Diseases
The kidneys are two bean-shaped organs. Each kidney is about the size of a fist. Your kidneys filter extra water and wastes out of your blood and make urine. Kidney disease means your kidneys are damaged and can’t filter blood the way they should. You are at greater risk for kidney disease if you have diabetes or high blood pressure. If you experience kidney failure, treatments include kidney transplant or dialysis. Other kidney problems include acute kidney injury, kidney cysts, kidney stones, and kidney infections.

Session 9 : Hereditary Kidney Disorder
The most common hereditary kidney disease is autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD). People with ADPKD form cysts on their kidneys. The cysts fill with fluid and damage their kidneys over time. Doctors can diagnose ADPKD before the age of 40, at a time kidney function measurement appears normal.

The global nephrology drugs market is expected to grow from USD 15.55 billion in 2022 to USD 26.99 billion by 2032, at a CAGR of 5.67% during the forecast period 2023-2032. The increasing incidence of kidney diseases will drive the global nephrology drugs market. The kidney is a vital organ of the body. It is situated in the abdominal cavity and is present as a pair. Kidneys perform several vital functions or life processes to keep the human body healthy. The primary functions of a kidney include removing toxic waste, water, and unwanted products from the body which are present in the bloodstream. They work as a filter for the human body. They are also responsible for the secretion of some essential hormones. Kidneys are also responsible for converting vitamin D supplements to active vitamin D for the body to absorb. Kidneys control the production of RBCs and balance the body's fluids. The internal field of medicine called nephrology is the healthy functioning of the kidney and its components, the general and overall well-being of the kidney, and the treatment of any kidney diseases/disorders. Nephrology drugs are medications that enable patients to repair kidneys or treat them. Nephrology drugs are used to treat chronic kidney diseases, kidney infections, stones, kidney swelling, nephrotic syndrome, kidney failure, etc. they are also widely used in dialysis patients. The increasing prevalence of kidney diseases will drive the demand for nephrology drugs during the forecast period.

The rising demand for home dialysis treatment is one of the key trends that will gain traction in the global market. The preference for home dialysis treatment compared to in-center treatment is quite high among patients with urinary problems. Home dialysis treatment offers flexibility, autonomy, and independence to individuals suffering from kidney related diseases. Moreover, home dialysis treatment also eliminates the constraints by staffing and time slot and enable patients to undergo additional dialysis sessions with ease. As these devices are used for performing home dialysis treatment, the growing demand for home dialysis treatment will subsequently increase the need for these devices. Such factors will drive nephrology and urology devices market growth at a CAGR of more than 5% during the forecast period.
