Webinar on Pharmacology

Webinar on Pharmacology welcomes each one of you to attend a global Webinar in the field of Pharmacy which is held on June 24, 2021. The Webinar emphasizes the theme “Emerging trends in pharmacology”. Pharmacology Webinar provides an international dais for Scientists and Pharmaceutical professionals to Exchange Ideas, Knowledge and Networking. Knowledge of the concepts of drug metabolism is useful in both the design of new drugs and the improvement of existing drugs. Thus it affects the living life in an effective way. This is the platform where you can exchange your ideas and learn novel concepts related to your field from the international speakers as well as the professionals participating in this symposium. We want to take every individual related to this field either to learn or share your experience in this field and improve your connections from the entire globe.

Sessions 1: Pharmacology

Pharmacology is the branch of pharmaceutical sciences which is concerned with the study of drug or medication action, where a drug can be broadly defined as any man-made, natural, or endogenous (from within the body) molecule which exerts a biochemical or physiological effect on the cell, tissue, organ, or organism (sometimes the word Pharmacon is used as a term to encompass these endogenous and exogenous bioactive species). More specifically, it is the study of the interactions that occur between a living organism and chemicals that affect normal or abnormal biochemical function. If substances have medicinal properties, they are considered pharmaceuticals.

Sessions 2: Pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamics

Pharmacokinetics may be defined as the study of the dynamic movements of foreign chemicals (xenobiotics) during their passage through the body and as such encompass the kinetics of absorption, distribution, biotransformation/metabolism and excretion (ADME). It can simply be described as how the body handles xenobiotics. Pharmacodynamics is the study of how a drug affects an organism, whereas pharmacokinetics is the study of how the organism affects the drug. Both together influence dosing, benefit, and adverse effects. Pharmacodynamics is sometimes abbreviated as PD and pharmacokinetics as PK, especially in combined reference (for example, when speaking of PK/PD models).

Sessions 3: Pharmacogenetics and Pharmacogenomics

Pharmacogenetics is the study of how people respond differently to drug therapy based upon their genetic makeup or genes. Diet, overall health, and environment also have significant influence on medication response, but none are stronger indicators of how you will process medication than your genetics.

Pharmacogenomics analyses how the genetic makeup of an individual affects his/her response to drugs. It deals with the influence of acquired and inherited genetic variation on drug response in patients by correlating gene expression or single-nucleotide polymorphisms with pharmacokinetics (drug absorption, distribution, metabolism, and elimination) and pharmacodynamics (effects mediated through a drug's biological targets).

Sessions 4: Immunopharmacology

The use of multiple antitumor drugs that have different mechanisms of action. In addition, combinatorial treatment regimens often combine drugs that target different phases of the cell cycle. Optimal treatment protocols combine drugs that have non-overlapping toxicities. In this way, overall toxicity can be minimized, despite the use of a synergistic cohort of cytotoxic drugs.

Sessions 5: Toxicology

Toxicology is the study of the undesirable effects of chemicals on living organisms. It is the study of symptoms, mechanisms, treatments and detection of poisoning; especially the poisoning of people. The global market for selected healthcare-acquired infection (HAI) treatments was valued at nearly $15.2 billion in 2014. This market is expected to increase from nearly $17.1 billion in 2015 to $23 billion by 2020, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.1% from 2015 to 2020.

Sessions 6: Drug screening and Discovery

Drug screening is the process by which potential drugs are identified and optimized before selection of a candidate drug to progress to clinical trials. It can involve screening large libraries of chemicals for a particular biological activity in high-throughput screening assays. Drug discovery is the process by which new candidate medications are discovered. Historically, drugs were discovered by identifying the active ingredient from traditional remedies or by serendipitous discovery, as with penicillin.

Importance & Scope:
‘Pharmacology Meeting 2021’ is a perfect platform to present and discuss current perspectives in drug research and development. Pharmacology is the study of interaction of chemical with living systems. It is a medical science that forms a backbone of the medical profession. So, it’s important to describe the pharmacological basis of therapeutics in order to maximize the benefits and minimize the risks of drugs to recipients. It is an integrative rather than an autonomous science, drawing on the techniques and knowledge of many allied scientific disciplines. Hence it will be a platform for researchers, scientists, professional involved with drug development. It is with better understanding of Pharmacology one can know the right dosage of drugs. More research in pharmacology deals with identifying and responding to drug interactions reactions and side effects and treat accordingly. It is useful to understand the process of drug intake, absorption, distribution, metabolism and elimination. More intensive study with the interaction between drug and its effect helps in identify the properties of ideal drugs and otherwise. Branches of Pharmacology include:
Clinical pharmacology
Neuropharmacology
Psychopharmacology
Cardiovascular pharmacology
Pharmacogenetics

Target Audience:
Students, Scientists, Researchers, and Faculty of Pharmaceutical Universities, Medical Colleges, Researchers from Pharmaceutical Companies, Pharmacy Associations and Societies, Business Entrepreneurs, Training Institutes, Software developing companies, Manufacturing Medical Devices Companies, CRO and Data Management Companies.
Global concentration of Research Organizations:
The graph represents the percentage of CRO's. A significant portion of R&D budgets are spent on outsourcing services (domestic and/or international) offered by the CRO industry, approximately $15 billion in 2007.This figure is expected to grow at 15% over the next seven years and should increase further with the broadening of the spectrum of services outsourced to cover the entire value chain. As outsourced services in developing countries such as China and India move up the value chain to cover phase 1/2 trials, the total contracts value may increase to $30 billion by 2015.

Glance at Market of Pharmacology:
These data describe the outcome of the patient as defined in U.S.reporting regulations. Serious means that one or more of the following outcomes were documented in the report: death, hospitalization, life threatening. There is a need to impede serious adverse effects caused by the drugs by enhancing drug targeting through research in pharmacology.
