In April, 2016, White Ribbon Alliance, International Confederation of Midwives and WHO held a two-day, advocacy and strategy meeting in Washington, D.C., and put joint work in midwifery care. The workshop examined the challenges midwives have to bear in providing good care. Also, a participatory workshop was held at the ICM Triennial Congress, 2014. This enabled 42 midwifery personnel from 14 countries to work together and discuss potential solutions for the challenges privaling in this health field.
